Founder & CEO, Commusoft: Field Service SaaS

About Jason

Early Life and Career

Jason Morjaria’s entrepreneurial journey began during his university years studying Business and Politics. After building a scheduling tool as a side project, a friend offered to buy it, sparking the realisation that others might want it too. He proposed to his university counsellor that he would intern for his own company during his placement year, famously telling them it was either that or he would drop out. They agreed, and Commusoft was born. Within his first year, he had acquired 14 clients under the original name Communication Software.

Professional Background

Jason is the founder and CEO of Commusoft, a leading cloud-based field service management platform serving over 1,200 companies and 15,000+ daily users across the UK, US, and Canada. The company has offices in London, Chennai, and Montreal, with Chicago expansion planned. Commusoft was built entirely through bootstrapping with no external investment, growing organically from a dorm-room project into an international operation. Jason made the pivotal decision with CTO Raja to completely rebuild the product from V3 to V4 rather than incrementally patching it, a move he credits with the platform’s success. He leads product vision, delivers keynotes at Commusoft’s annual Connect and Preview events, and created the Success in the Field video series for field service professionals.

TrainAR Academy Spotlight

Jason is featured as a Spotlight Creator at TrainAR Academy, where he shares insights on field service technology, AI adoption, employee retention, and building scalable trades businesses through software. His perspective as a bootstrapped SaaS founder who serves the trades sector directly makes him a valuable voice for tradespeople looking to modernise their operations.

Personal Values

Jason believes technology should empower trade businesses to be more efficient, profitable, and scalable. He champions pragmatic AI adoption over hype, customer self-service as the path to growth, and reducing admin burden so tradespeople can focus on revenue-generating work. Outside of business, he is passionate about environmental responsibility and reducing conspicuous consumption, drawing inspiration from bootstrapping pioneers like Jason Fried of Basecamp.
